Transportation development research is an important research direction of transportation planning and management discipline. It mainly undertakes two core tasks of basic research and application research in transportation development. During the research activities of more than 60 scientific research projects at all levels, the academic team has formed a core backbone research force with Professor Chen yinshe as the leader. There are 9 researchers, including 6 with senior titles and above. Good achievements have been made in the field of transportation development.

In terms of basic research, the team mainly focuses on transportation development theory, transportation economic theory, transportation market theory, relationship between transportation and economic and social development, transportation planning and management, etc., while application research mainly focuses on transportation planning, transportation organization and management, economic and social demonstration of transportation infrastructure construction, and transportation development politics Policy, transportation organization technology and other fields.
